We are seeking an
Underground Construction Supervisor
to join our team in the
Denver, CO
area. In this role you will oversee, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction technicians, inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.

The Role
Oversees, coordinates and schedules the activities of construction technicians
Reads blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures
Inspects work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met
Locates, measures and marks site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment
Coordinates work activities with other construction project activities
Assigns work to crews, based on material and/or worker requirements of specific jobs
Estimates material and worker requirements to complete jobs
Confers with managerial and technical personnel, other departments and contractors to resolve problems and to coordinate activities
Orders materials and supplies, as directed
Analyzes worker and production problems and recommends solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans
Trains workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
5+ years of underground telecommunications construction experience
required
(i.e. having worked for a telecom company laying, pulling, splicing cable (coax) and especially fiber optic lines)
Working knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, OSHA and operating safety standards
Working knowledge of construction trenching, missiling, placing of duct, CIC, coax, fiber, pedestals & vaults
Ability to safely operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment
High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption
Continuous support of the mission, vision, ethics and values of TAK Communications
Ability to travel daily; up to 50% travel requiring overnight stays as needed
Ability to work outside of business hours when needed; overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons
Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud
Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds), ability to climb poles or other structures as needed
Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time, year-round in all weather conditions
Ability to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electricity and/or powerlines, risk of exposure to electrical shock, radiation, vibration
Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
Valid driver’s license required, free from suspensions or revocations
Class A CDL a plus
Must be able to pass a DOT physical
Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
