Job Title: Creative Digital Content Writer (Senior Copywriter)
We are looking for a Senior Copywriter to join the marketing team in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Legacy Coop is a multi-line business in the heart of agricultural country, aiming to reinvent its brand voice. The ideal candidate is a journalist/writer, detail-oriented, capable of leading this evolution.
This is a full-time position with benefits, including retirement, 401K, holidays, vacation, and sick leave. It is on-site/in person in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, but remote part-time consideration may be given to the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning the brand's written voice across various platforms and materials
- Creating clear, engaging, and authentic copy without corporate fluff
- Collaborating with teams to refine existing content and develop new standards
- Researching and reflecting the character of our customers and region
- Developing a content strategy aligned with business goals, emphasizing storytelling
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in a writing-related field (journalism, English, advertising, etc.)
- At least 3 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in retail, grocery, food, fuel, or consumer brands
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse work
- Background in journalism, creative writing, or editorial work
- Excellent sense of tone, rhythm, structure, and emotion in language
- Experience writing for digital and physical media, including websites, whitepapers, and signage
