Job Title: Sales Administrative Assistant
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Position Type and Schedule: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
Occasional times for special events or conferences as needed
Pay Range: $60,000 annually
About the role
- The Sales Assistant is expected to work closely with the Sales Rep to learn about our processes, products & product usage, customers, and systems. This individual will be a "self-starter" who takes the initiative and prioritizes tasks to ensure an efficient sales process. Additionally, the sales assistant is expected to keep a record of customer interactions, special pricing offered to different customers and utilize all available resources. This position reports to the Sales Reps.
- Assist Customers With:
- Identifying and Calling Potential Customers
- Product Usage, Availability & Pricing
- Submit Credit Applications & Follow Up
- Recommendation of Products Based on Project Type
- Other Communication, as Needed
- Assist Sales Rep With:
- Identifying and Calling Potential Customers
- Utilize Various Lead Generating Tools (Internet, Business Directories, etc.)
- Prepare Communications, Such as Quotes, Welcome Letters, Emails, Sales Orders, Reports & Other Correspondence
- Create Documents & Deliver, or Mail, Soil Samples to Various Test Facilities
- Assist with the marketing team with Social media postings and Website updates.
- Assist with Designing & Creating Marketing Literature
- Provide Customers with Product Literature, Product Samples, Promotional Items, etc.
- Consult with customers to resolve problems & provide ongoing support.
- Monitor Market Trends for Pricing, Products, Services or Product Innovations
- Attend Various Trade Shows or Sales Meetings with Sales Rep
- Assist Sales Rep with Participation in Various Professional Organizations, Trade Shows, or Conferences
- Provide Support to Retail Office
- Assist with Organization of Printed or Electronic Documents
- Schedule Appointments & Maintain Calendar's as Needed by Sales Rep or Sales & Marketing Unit
- Learn to Use and Utilize all Systems & Tools available. i.e.: Microsoft Office Applications, Google Suite, SMS Turbo, QuickBooks, CounterPoint, Salesforce, Asana, MailChimp & Formstack
- Other Administrative Tasks, as Needed
- Expectations:
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Bachelor's Degree or years of experience in lieu of degree
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Pivot tables, Word & PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite, especially Gmail, Salesforce.com, Google Sheets & Google Docs
- Must be able to work additional hours if requested outside of the traditional work schedule.
- Able to operate office machines - copier, postage machine.
- Must have good attendance & punctuality.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and communicate to Sales Rep any conflicts or challenges.
- Must have good communication skills - written and verbal.
- Must have a good attitude and represent Silver Creek Materials in a professional manner.
- Must be a self-starter and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Photoshop, Salesforce, Counterpoint, SMS Turbo, and QuickBooks knowledge would be a plus.
