Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager at our Design Studio will be responsible for creating recipes for all floral arrangements, ensuring accurate allocation of flower and décor revenues, assisting Sales Managers in selecting flowers and developing theme ideas, ordering and scheduling in-house florals, researching competitive vendor pricing, and coordinating all purchases and deliveries of flowers, fabric, and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of floral design principles and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in vendor management and sourcing.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Create recipes for all floral arrangements in the Design Studio.
- Ensure accurate allocation of flower and décor revenues on paperwork.
- Assist Sales Managers in selecting flowers and developing theme ideas.
- Order and schedule in-house florals such as lobby arrangements.
- Research competitive vendor pricing for flowers, fabric, and supplies.
- Coordinate all necessary purchases and deliveries.
- Communicate with internal departments to assess and fulfill their needs.
- Submit invoices for approval to the Director of the Design Studio.
Additional Requirements:
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in purchasing or supply chain management is a plus.
