Our interdisciplinary team supports persons served with complex medical, cognitive, and developmental needs in home and community-based settings. As part of our commitment to holistic rehabilitation, we are expanding our team to include a passionate and skilled Music Therapist .

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Music Therapist with a strong background in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) to join our interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in applying music therapy techniques to support individuals with neurological conditions such as brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, or other cognitive and motor disorders.

This position offers flexibility and can be structured as either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group Neurologic Music Therapy sessions in accordance with person-centered care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and direct support staff to develop and implement interdisciplinary treatment strategies.
• Assess, document, and evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy interventions using evidence-based practices.
• Contribute to goal setting, care planning, and progress reviews for persons served.
• Educate staff, families, and caregivers about the benefits and implementation of NMT techniques.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with CARF standards and company policy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program.
• Board Certification (MT-BC) required.
• Neurologic Music Therapy training/certification strongly preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with individuals with neurological and developmental conditions.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel to client homes and community settings, if applicable.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with person-centered planning.
• Experience with home and community-based service models.
• Strong background in Neurologic Music Therapy.
