As Associate Director of B2B Content Marketing, you’ll focus on promoting Business Insider Advertising, our commercial arm that connects brands with Business Insider’s influential audiences through strategic media and content partnerships. You’ll raise awareness of our advertising offering—including custom content, editorial sponsorships, ad solutions, and more—among marketers and agency partners. This is a hands-on role focused on writing and publishing weekly content across LinkedIn and email, with a primary goal of growing our social presence and building a high-performing B2B email program. You’ll manage both content creation and performance optimization. You’ll also produce compelling sales enablement materials and marketing collateral about our brand and products, and support broader brand initiatives including award submissions and PR opportunities. We’re looking for a natural storyteller with demonstrated experience in writing and producing marketing, email, and social content — someone who brings together strong editorial instincts, platform expertise, and a solid grasp of marketing strategy and analytics. The Associate Director of B2B Content Marketing reports directly to the Director of B2B Brand Strategy and sits on the Global B2B Marketing team. This position is based in our New York City HQ with an in-office presence of at least 2 days per week. Key Responsibilities: B2B Social Media Strategy:
Develop and execute content programs to elevate our LinkedIn presence, launch new formats and social channels, and grow engagement and following across social platforms. B2B Email Marketing:
Build targeted B2B email lists and create engaging monthly newsletters and marketing emails to strengthen client relationships and boost engagement. Events Promotion:
Create and execute multi-channel communication plans to promote BI Live events and our presence at key industry moments like Cannes, Davos, and Advertising Week through social, email, and marketing materials. Product & Brand Marketing:
Create polished marketing materials and sales presentations that showcase our brand and product offerings by leading both writing and design efforts. Use engaging storytelling and marketing strategy to position our products in a way that resonates with decision-makers and drives interest. PR & Awards:
Work with the PR team to support media coverage for key initiatives and lead the creation of standout award submissions that amplify Business Insider’s leadership and innovation. Cross-Functional Marketing Support:
Partner with the Marketing Solutions team to ensure all collateral reflects our brand voice, messaging, and product positioning, supporting their client-facing materials with on-brand assets. The Ideal Candidate Has: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across formats and platforms. Hands-on experience regularly producing marketing, social, and email content while adhering to production schedules and managing multiple internal approvals. Proven background in B2B content marketing, with a focus on advertising solutions for publishers and media companies. Experience managing LinkedIn and other social channels to grow reach and engagement. Proven ability to build email lists and run newsletters that engage and retain audiences, using HubSpot or similar platforms. Experience promoting events in bold, creative ways that generate buzz and drive engagement across channels. Experience in collaborating closely with executives to elevate their social media presence and authentically capture their tone of voice. Strong design instincts and experience collaborating with designers. Comfort working with sales teams to create marketing collateral. Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Ability to work from our NYC office 2–3 days per week. 7+ years of relevant experience.
