Marathon Strategies, an independent communications, public affairs and research firm, seeks a motivated, energetic, organized and results-oriented full-time Digital Marketing Fellow to support our growing Digital Practice. The successful candidate will have experience in supporting digital campaigns, demonstrate great attention-to-detail and be able to clearly communicate the outcome of digital campaigns through data-driven reports. Marathon’s fellowship program is a full-time, six-month program aimed at equipping recent college graduates with the skills needed to progress their careers. This position is currently hybrid, requiring 1-2 days of attendance in either the New York City or Washington, DC, offices.

Responsibilities include:
- Support the development of digital marketing campaigns, including organic social media and paid media strategies
- Monitor and report on key metrics using Google Analytics, social media insights and other analytics tools
- Conduct social listening and competitive analysis to identify trends and engagement opportunities
- Assist in SEO research and implementation, including keyword research and on-page optimization
- Conduct audience research and keyword analysis to enhance targeting and ad performance
- Help create and test ad creatives, including copywriting, visuals and A/B testing strategies
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics (CTR, CPC, ROAS, conversions) and prepare client reports
- Support budget tracking through daily tracking to maximize ad spend efficiency
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to integrate paid strategies with organic content and earned media efforts
- Research and recommend emerging ad formats, trends and platform updates
- Assist in client presentations and strategy development by gathering insights and industry benchmarks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Digital Media or a related field
- A problem solver with strong attention-to-detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook)
- Experience with Google Analytics, SEO, or paid advertising is a bonus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a creative mindset
- Analytical thinker that enjoys data driven work
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Salary: $20 an hour/40 hours per week
