Job Summary:
Mayor's Office of Cable and Communications is searching for an innovative and versatile Multimedia Design Specialist to enrich our team. This role demands a creative professional skilled in various multimedia formats including video, photography, graphics, illustrations, and UI/UX design. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise and a creative eye to produce engaging content that resonates with the Baltimore community and beyond.
Essential Functions: Develop and create multimedia content for various projects that include video productions, digital photography, graphic design, and interactive media. Design and execute UI/UX projects to ensure user-friendly experiences on city, CharmTV & Engage Networks digital platforms. Work collaboratively with other departments to capture and translate their needs into high-impact visual and interactive media. Manage the end-to-end process from conceptualization to delivery of multimedia content, ensuring alignment with brand standards and communication goals. Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in multimedia production to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of media output. Provide expert advice and support to team members and stakeholders on multimedia best practices and strategies. Create social media content across all platforms, ensuring consistent, timely, and strategic communication that engages viewers and upholds the brand identity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of professional experience in a multimedia production environment, demonstrating proficiency in video production, graphic design, UI/UX design, and social media management.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Background Check
Eligible candidates for final consideration for appointments to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
Probation
All people, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
