Digital Content Specialist
Pay Rate: $35-44 per hour
Contract: 1 year
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, plus 1 other day) and 2 days remote (client provides laptop)
Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, core hours 8am-4:30pm with some flexibility
Location: Main site at Optimist Hall (340 E. 16th St.), occasional visits to The Plaza (525 S. Tryon St.), mileage reimbursed for other sites
Role Overview
As part of Duke Energy’s Enterprise Innovation team, you will manage digital content assets (text, images, video), capture and edit videos, create PowerPoint presentations, and coordinate multiple projects to ensure timely delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with brand standards and communicates effectively to the target audience. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and creative digital content production abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Videography: Capture high-quality video footage for projects, tutorials, interviews, and events, ensuring visual appeal and brand consistency.
- Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos, adding graphics, animations, sound effects, and music, focusing on short videos and podcasts.
- PowerPoint and Design: Create engaging visual narratives for presentations, applying design principles for clarity and aesthetics.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects, coordinate with teams and stakeholders, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Content Quality: Deliver creative, effective digital content consistent with company standards and voice, on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or higher; or 10+ years of experience if no degree
- Experience: 5-8 years with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
