Overview
Do you dream of crafting delightful and groundbreaking digital experiences? We're recruiting a UX Architect II to join the team at Cox Automotive. In this role, you'll envision, plan, and lay the UX groundwork for a family of products. You'll create or modify design systems, establish interaction rules within a product family, evangelize UX principles, and more. The right candidate will be metric-sensitive and able to articulate a strategic vision through documentation, presentation, and relationship-building. What You'll Do You'll plan, design, and guide the overall UX interaction design implementation across digital platforms to ensure a usable, familiar, and successful experience. You'll collaborate across other UX organizations and guide interaction designers to create complementary products that form a true ecosystem. Here's what else you'll be doing: Develop a deep understanding of our customers and business needs by participating in user research activities, including persona development/evangelism, heuristic evaluation, and usability reviews. Assess existing information architecture, content, and design on an ongoing basis to identify experience gaps and contradictions. Create user stories and flow diagrams, plus define information hierarchies. Protect the consistency of the overall user interface and ensure that individual components can be extended and reused. Collaborate with technical teams to determine data accessibility and understand technology constraints/advantages for the design structure. Examine web analytics to inform overall UX design strategy. Help facilitate the visual design and content of reusable components and the design system. Identify research-based opportunities to create business value and improve UX. Champion user needs and product usability while balancing business and technical constraints. Articulate rationale behind decisions and how to prioritize interface features. Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing processes. Who You Are You can produce user experience documentation like storyboards, user scenarios/tasks/flows, wireframes, and prototypes (and you've got a portfolio to prove it). An avid learner fascinated by human behavior, you stay up to date on the latest trends and research in product design, SEO, and web/mobile technologies. You work across multiple business units and brands. You also have: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. Alternatively, a master's degree with up to 2 years' experience or 6 years' experience in a related field. Knowledge or understanding of user-centered design methods, techniques, and other UX principles. Basic proficiency with Figma. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Prior experience as a UX Architect II, designing for mobile devices, including responsive design. Experience working on large-scale, long-term projects. Experience with group facilitation. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to hypothesize innovative design solutions. Ability to see the big picture while paying attention to detail. Comfort with ambiguity and articulating ideas convincingly. Ability to work across multiple internal business units and companies. Capability to work independently and in teams. Leadership skills to influence without authority. Salary ranges from USD 104,600 to 157,000 per year, with potential for additional compensation and incentives. The company offers flexible vacation, paid holidays, wellness hours, and other benefits. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
