FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE: Oversees the process of writing and submitting negotiated service agreements. Serves as the subject matter expert to the organization on developing Sales contracts that align with business goals and strategic direction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads a small-sized group of Contract Writers responsible for drafting negotiated service agreements (NSAs). Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors work assignments, provides direction, guidance, and feedback. Leads the development of contracts for multi-billion-dollar customers and ensures alignment with business needs. Collaborates with customers to define and refine contract terms. Reviews, evaluates, and edits NSAs to ensure incorporation of negotiated terms, consistent formatting, and accurate usage of contract terminology. Verifies contract intent and identifies potential issues to be resolved; provides guidance and feedback on NSAs. Facilitates meetings with multi-billion-dollar customers to discuss and finalize contract and agreement terms. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to finalize NSAs and prepare filings; submits finalized NSAs for approval. Designs, develops, and implements processes and procedures for monitoring, tracking, creating, and ensuring NSAs are consistent, accurately reflect business intent, meet assigned deadlines, and minimize administrative cost. Serves as the subject matter expert on contract development; provides guidance and responses to auditors and regulators on contract interpretation. Advises senior leadership with the most effective approach to accomplish a business objective through an NSA. Develops and implements training on contract development policies, procedures, guidelines, and drafting best practices. Oversees the maintenance of the sales contract templates; ensures templates are updated and correctly used. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to identify training needs, develop training programs, evaluate training program effectiveness, and coordinate training delivery. Ability to supervise the work performance of staff, which includes scheduling and time and attendance functions, evaluating performance against goals, providing technical guidance and feedback, building effective work relationships, and establishing individual development plans. Ability to maintain effective business relationships with customers, both internal and external to the organization sufficient to ensure effective collaboration and implementation of the business strategies. Ability to review and evaluate negotiated service agreements sufficient to ensure contract terminology aligns with regulatory concepts, policies, and products. Ability to develop contracts and negotiated service agreements for multi-billion dollar accounts sufficient to finalize agreements and ensure terms are in alignment with business and customer needs. Ability to develop processes and procedures to monitor, track, and evaluate negotiated service agreements sufficient to ensure timely completion and alignment with organizational goals. Ability to provide subject matter expertise and guidance on contract development to stakeholders and leadership sufficient to interpret contract terms and determining best approach to accomplishing goals and objectives.
