Inpatient Surgical - The Music Therapist will: Provide music therapy to support the developmental, rehabilitative, psychological, socioemotional, and psychoeducational needs of BCH patients and families from various demographic and multicultural backgrounds. Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to assess, evaluate, and document the therapeutic needs of patients to address their medical, procedural, surgical, diagnostic, and prognostic experiences. Provide guidance and instruction on student/intern performance and interactions with patients and families. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. Experience: 1 year work experience in a medical setting and/or working with children. Adherence to AMTA standards of practice, code of ethics, and professional competencies. Proficient knowledge in music therapy clinical practice, musical skills, child development, and healthcare's impact on neurodevelopmental outcomes. Licensure/Certifications:
Certification or eligibility to sit for certification exam within 18 months of hire preferred.
