The Programming team at VIZIO is looking for a Manager, Marketing Operations to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Programming, you will manage the curation, programming, scheduling, launch and promotion of VIZIO's owned and operated channels within VIZIO's WatchFree+ environment. The Manager will lead the editorial voice, programming quality, and overall success of our channels by engaging and growing our audience. This role will work closely with the Content Acquisitions and Operations teams.
This is a highly dynamic role within a growing and impactful Programming team at VIZIO. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background working with multiple internal stakeholders within the digital entertainment industry. The role will liaise with multiple internal teams to monitor performance and maximize growth of our programming content. This role requires strong organizational skills, outstanding time management, and the ability to regularly balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. An understanding of technical operational processes is needed for this role and an appreciation of data metrics to drive success is desirable. The ideal candidate will be truly collaborative, always up for a new challenge, and extremely organized in this highly cross-functional role within VIZIO.
This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles, CA with some travel required to the Irvine HQ.
What You Will Do
Develop successful linear 24/7 programming schedules in utilizing all available tools, data, and research for VIZIO's FAST O&O + Pop-Up Channels, and AVOD merchandising. Oversee the execution of content strategies across the O&O and Pop-Up Channels and support the AVOD merchandising strategies. Regularly prepare and present meaningful content performance insights that holistically demonstrate the value of content and make substantive recommendations on future content strategies (track, report, and analyze content KPIs and financial metrics). Collaborate and cultivate a deep understanding of the VIZIO viewer utilizing data analytics and audience research. Optimize, manage and maintain tracking of VIZIO's inbound content inventory database across key content verticals and strategic initiatives (content avail submissions, window schedules, etc.). Own the editorial calendar detailing content-forward opportunities, with both short-term and long-term planning cycles. Work with Programming Director on monthly programming and promotional priorities. Work cross-functionally with Content Acquisitions, Finance, Editorial, Marketing, Product, and additional internal teams to prioritize key content deliverables. Identify general audience programming gaps and opportunities (including strengths and weaknesses in programming to inform recommendations). Perform competitive analysis and trend research to ensure programming and acquisitions strategy are aligned with VIZIO's goals and content initiatives. Special projects as needed. About You
You have earned a Bachelor's degree. You have 5+ years of relevant entertainment/digital media/distribution experience (streaming/AVOD/OTT) with a recent focus on content programming and strategy, preferably in the FAST environment. You have direct experience in programming and scheduling with a CMS (Content Management Systems), especially for FAST Digital Linear Channels/AVOD/VOD. You have advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with data analysis tools a plus. You are a self-starter with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and work effectively against multiple competing deadlines. You have excellent project management skills with proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams (product, engineering, editorial, research, finance) with an emphasis on strong teamwork and effective communication skills. You are self-motivated, extremely well organized with an exceptional attention to detail, genuine curiosity, and a can-do positive attitude to contribute to the success of the team You have knowledge of standard methodologies in metadata creation and copywriting. You have broad knowledge and passion for pop culture, TV, film, and the evolving media landscape.

For California-based employment:
The minimum salary for this position is $96,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $186,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
