Some important roles are vendor and item setup, sample organization, data analysis, customer service, promotional and financial tracking.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and collaborative, with a strong ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and external teams.Responsibilities:1. Analytics & ReportingAnalyze sales using Retail Merchandise and Blue Yonder systems based on Category Manager team requestsMaintain daily / weekly / monthly cadence reporting for the team2. New Item and Vendor SetupManage the setup process for new items and planograms in coordination with the WDC, McLane, and DSD vendors.Gather, input, and validate all product data in systems including Blue Yonder, Pricebook, and supply chain platforms.Coordinate sample collection process and approval to ensure timely setup and launches3. Promotional and Financial Setup and TrackingTake ownership of all promotional and financial forms, including signage forms, rebate submissions, loyalty forms, and franchise promotional acceptanceEnsure accuracy, timeliness, and serve as liaison between Category Management team and the Finance, Advertising, Pricebook, and vendorsMonitor promotions throughout their lifecycle to ensure they are executed correctly in stores and systems and proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise during the promotional period4. Customer Service SupportAct as the primary customer service contact for the category management teamRespond to inquiries and escalate appropriately to internal teams such as Pricebook, Finance, Supply and Category Management5. Partnership with Cross Functional Support teams - build strong and durable relationships with critical stakeholders to ensure the precise execution of monthly merchandising strategies. Key relationships include:Store Operations - communicate with front line team effectively and in detail to ensure upcoming strategies, promotions, resets, or other projects are executed at a high levelPricebook - partner with the pricebook team on new item set up, promotions, and price changes to ensure all skus and promotions function properly.Space Planning - regularly optimize and evaluate layouts and planograms to increase sales and optimize profitability of each sku net of vendor funding. Ensure all monthly and annual timelines are communicated and met to reset fixtures and assortments efficiently.Finance - ensure all invoices, payments, and rebates are accurate and on time. Maintain open lines of communication with national and local vendors to ensure timely payments of invoices and rebates.Vendors - work closely with national and local vendors, sales teams, and DSD networks to ensure a high level of daily in stock on all products. Ensure all invoicing and returns processes are followed rigorously across all vendors.6. Supply chain and inventory management and collaborationWork closely with all distribution and procurement teams on new item launches, major promotions, and seasonal items to ensure a high level of in stock to optimize sales.Review and monitor Inventory Reports from McLane and WDC and ensure ongoing communication around inventory levels.7. Other duties as assigned by the Category Manager teamWorking Relationships:INTERNAL: Within Marketing: Advertising Team; POS/Price Book Team; Merchandising/Planogram Team Within Store Support Center: IT Department; Legal Department; Strategic Sourcing; Finance Team; Supply Chain/Warehouse Team Retail Operations Team: Retail Vice President's; Regional Manager's; District Manager's, Store Managers EXTERNAL: Direct Vendors, Brokers, DistributorsRequirements:Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.Preferred Education:Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.Minimum Experience:University applicable extracurriculars, internships or part time jobsPreferred Experience:Strong analytical, commercial, communication, and organizational skills.Licenses/Certifications:NASoft Skills/Competencies:Must be well organized and detail/process oriented. Must also possess strong communication skills, which include a pleasant and professional phone manner. Should be able to successfully work within a fast-paced environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong Presentation SkillsAbility to foster team work and build collaborative relationshipsStrong interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAI proficient skillsOther Requirements:Travel: 0-25% travel requiredHours & Conditions: Monday - Friday, 8+ hour days in office setting with one discretionary flex day approved by manager.Physical Requirements: Minimal physical effort required; sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time.
