Work Location: Must be a commutable distance from Charlotte, NC
Mythic employees are expected to work from 9:00am-5:30pm EST, but may also require evenings and weekends as client needs dictate. Must be authorized to work in the US without corporate assistance. Must be located in the US.

Job Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator will be a key part of Mythic’s growing Social Media Team. This role will support the social team in strategic, analytical, and creative ways on behalf of our clients, including posting and monitoring content, content brainstorming, and data analysis to help inform creative optimization opportunities. You will be working closely with team members across departments and clients, touching most (if not all) of the social media clients at Mythic.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Be a critical part of the Social Team for multiple assigned accounts — offering fresh thinking and informed perspective for a creative, innovative approach to the work
- Schedule posts and publish content (text, images, videos) from content calendars across all client brands (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) using Sprout Social or similar platforms
- Monitor social media channels for direct messages, mentions, reviews, and comments
- Help to develop and implement social media strategies aligned with our clients’ brand and marketing goals
- Respond to customers’ comments and messages in a timely and on-brand manner by engaging with followers, answering questions, and participating in conversations to build relationships and foster a sense of community across brands and channels
- Work with the Social Media team to execute established escalation protocols in certain customer service or crisis situations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform and algorithm updates
- Collaborate with other teams (account, strategy, & creative) to ideate creative social media content and to ensure brand consistency across brands and content calendars
- Mine for user-generated content and brand mentions to leverage within content calendars, as well as identify and engage with potential influencers
- Partner with the wider social media team to ensure creative is suited for the channel it is being posted to, adheres to best practices and paid/promoted post requirements and has been through a QA process
- Constantly feed the identification of key culture, trends, moments or pop culture relevant to each brand to flag opportunities for brands to participate in conversation
- Track and analyze social media performance, gathering reporting data to inform monthly reports; working with the social media team to identify trends and insights, optimize strategies, and measure ROI.
- Generate UTM codes for links within social posts to enable tracking abilities
- Support the social media team with content creation as needed. Content creation will be bandwidth-dependent, with community management, analytics, and strategy implementation as primary responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms
- Data-driven mindset with a desire to understand the “why” within data & analytics
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing trends
- Passion for social media and building online communities
- Experience with graphic design and video editing tools is a plus
- Familiarity with social listening tools and/or social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to create engaging and visually appealing content
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications, or related experience
- Sedentary work that primarily involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Light work that could include carrying 5 pounds
