Marketing Coordinator
plays a vital role in supporting the execution of marketing campaigns, coordinating the production of marketing assets, and facilitating communication between internal departments and external vendors.
This role is dedicated to supporting the Washington, D.C. vertical of District Cannabis , ensuring all local marketing initiatives, retail support, and brand communications align with company standards. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within the cannabis industry. Your role in caring for our plants: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Asset Creation & Management Coordinate packaging and product asset requests with internal teams and external vendors. Organize and maintain a library of digital assets including photos, videos, and renderings. Support Social Media initiatives to drive traffic to District Cannabis Retail and brand product at other stores. Retail & Physical Marketing Manage and fulfill physical marketing requests including swag, banners, retail assets, and printed collateral. Collaborate with the retail team to identify needs for marketing materials at store locations. Coordinate retail asset photoshoots with internal stakeholders and creative team members. Content & Communication Submit marketing content for approval (or be the approval) and ensure final assets are distributed appropriately. Support blog writing and general copywriting initiatives. Help manage store online menus to ensure alignment with promotional and brand standards. Manage Retail text and email marketing campaigns ensuring a consistent and intentional outreach program. Serve as a point of contact for marketing-related needs across teams in D.C. Collaboration & Support Work closely with the design and production teams to execute timely and brand-consistent marketing deliverables. Communicate with team members regarding content gaps, new asset needs, or store-specific requests. Miscellaneous Duties Pitching new creative marketing concepts Participate in Marketing meetings Set up and facilitate pop-up events and marketing functions Assist with on-site photo and video production as needed Support in the copywrite effort to support blog content on website and email Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check. We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED. Three (3) year of marketing experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop and Illustrator). Willing and able to visit all sites (Washington, D.C.) routinely Additional skills which will help you excel in your role: Comprehensive knowledge of industry and industry-related trends and forecasts. A passion for the cannabis culture. Desire and ability to work as a member of a team. Please have personal accountability, proactive behaviors, and strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Excellent observational skills. High level of organization and follow through Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Compliance with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure. Passion for cannabis and the legal DC Market Work Schedule/Location: Hybrid/DC - 40% Travel Please make sure you are willing and able to perform the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions. This position requires an inordinate amount of sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting and reaching in full range of motion to complete physical tasks You may be asked to carry/lift loads of up to 50lbs at times. This position requires standing, stooping, squatting, sitting or crouching for more than 4 hours sequentially. This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
