Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Employee is responsible for the continuing of the monthly general ledger entries, preparation.
- General ledger monthly closing
- Monthly analyzation and preparation of financial documents to provide guidance to accounting leadership
- Oversee transactions and reconciliations for grants
- Manages allocation records
- Cash flow compiling and analyzation
- Prepares for annual audits (gathering journal entries and other documents)
- Performs sales and tax filings for organization
- Ability to assist in new system implementations
- Strong desire to learn and develop
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business related field (Accounting/Finance is preferred but not required)
- Between 2-5 years in accounting field
- Prefers U.S. GAAP understanding
- Proficient in Excel ( Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, SUMIFS etc.…)
- NetSuite a HUGE plus!
