The Miami HEAT is seeking an organized and proactive team player who understands the flexible schedule that the sports industry requires to join our production crew. The Content Production Assistant will assist managers, producers, editors, and interns in the day-to-day duties of the Content studio. Duties include logging, archiving media clips, recording games broadcast, helping prep on and off-site shoots, and fulfilling various video-related requests for the content studio. The Production Assistant is encouraged to participate in brainstorming sessions, assisting on shoots, and editing content as needed. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent multitasking abilities who can provide administrative and operational support within a fast-paced creative environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
- Responsible for recording and logging of live HEAT home and away broadcasts (pre, half, and postgame, specials) into the department’s digital archive system.
- Logging of game melts, media clips, and ENG footage in a timely manner.
- Assisting on-location shoots in and outside the arena (set building, grip duties).
- Keep Music Cue Sheet up to date.
- Keep Arena On-Hold up to date.
- Fulfill any request the Content Studio receives for footage, including VNR’s for the media.
- Transfer historical footage from older format to most recent.
- Responsible for exporting and sending daily coverage of HEAT practice, shoot around, and postgame to Media Distribution.
- Work with producers and editors to prepare materials or elements needed to execute edits and/or tasks assigned.
- Assist the Manager of Content Studio with onboarding of Content interns.
- Make sure all logging assignments are fulfilled and completed while checking accuracy based on established logging SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers to support the production team.
- Needs to be organized, proactive, show initiative, and possess good communication skills.
- Must be able to operate Premiere.

Education and/or Experience:
Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
