**Responsibilities:**
- Identify and target potential clients in need of bid bonds, payment bonds and performance bonds within the construction and related industries.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new business acquisition and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and other industry stakeholders.
- Assess clients' bonding requirements and provide tailored contract surety solutions that align with their needs and project specifications.
- Collaborate with underwriters to submit accurate and complete bond applications, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of bond placements, effectively advocating for clients' best interests while managing risk.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes related to contract surety.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the agency's contract surety services.
- Provide exceptional client service throughout the bonding process, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, explaining the benefits and details of various contract surety products.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of client interactions, bond placements, and relevant communications.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in contract surety bond sales or related roles.
- Proven track record of successful sales achievements and business development within the contract surety space.
- Strong knowledge of contract surety products, underwriting guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in using agency management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Active insurance producer license
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
