Role Overview Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to join the XCM (Cross-Channel Marketing) Finance team. XCM is Amazon’s largest Fixed Marketing team, aiming to be the most culturally and contextually aware, creatively breakthrough, and effective marketing organization globally. The team has produced renowned advertising campaigns, including Amazon’s Holiday and Superbowl ads. You will be instrumental in executing these initiatives. Team Responsibilities The XCM team manages Amazon’s global mass marketing and branding campaigns to enhance brand perception, delight customers, and optimize marketing costs. The Finance team collaborates closely with business partners to provide financial insights, helping to form balanced marketing portfolios based on effective measurement and financial returns. You will work with marketing leaders to make informed decisions, influence marketing strategies, and gain exposure across Amazon’s business units. Candidate Profile We seek someone passionate about numbers and influencing others. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, data-driven, and capable of partnering effectively with stakeholders across Finance, Marketing, and Measurement teams. Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, trustworthiness, and experience in matrix organizations are essential. Key Responsibilities
Manage business and financial reviews with senior leadership, presenting insights and recommendations. Oversee the annual and quarterly planning for over $1B in marketing investments. Develop and refine models and frameworks to support marketing goals. Collaborate with measurement and product teams to evaluate marketing impact. Identify process improvements within Finance operations. Contribute to the wider Marketing Finance community through projects. Educate and train team members on marketing concepts and reporting frameworks. Typical Day Activities include discussing measurement techniques, engaging with senior stakeholders, supporting strategic initiatives, refining reporting dashboards, coaching new hires, preparing for finance meetings, and participating in peer learning events. Qualifications
5+ years in finance, analytics, or related fields. Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in delivering impactful financial models and analysis. MBA or CPA preferred. Experience with data tools (SQL, Excel, reporting systems) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
