Overview
The Graphic Artist will work at the Marine Aviation Weapon and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) and will provide graphics support for Interactive-Courseware (ICW) and other curriculum/education support using the Microsoft, Adobe, Blender, and Articulate products with an emphasis on design, development, and deployment of cloud and HTML-based courseware.
Typical duties (non-inclusive):Interface with the customer and staff to design and develop Interactive Courseware (ICW) products for publishing on an LMS (Learning Management System) via HTML5 and Javascript;
Implement and maintain underlying logic of ICW;
Ensure Shareable Content Objective Reference Model (SCORM) 2004 conformance with the LMS;
Utilize Adobe, Articulate and Microsoft software to revise LMS products;
Produce products in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Adobe Creative Suite, such as technical illustrations, charts, maps, collages, animations, photo/video editing, and other various digital editing techniques to clarify/enhance textual material;
Categorize graphic items and maintain Graphics library;
Establish and adheres to agreed-upon schedule for deliverables;
Provide daily tracking and monthly reporting to the Managers, and Customer on related activities;
Perform additional duties as directed and learn new systems when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency within Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Cloud Services (O365);
Working knowledge of ICW design and strategy, including SCORM methodology;
Proficiency with: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); HTML, XML, Javascript; Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audio/Video editing software;
Ability to effectively interact with peers, management, and military leadership;
Self-start, self-manage, and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to Obtain and hold a SECRET clearance;
Desired Qualifications:5 years documented experience working with graphics and programming in a LMS environment;
Bachelor's degree in Fine/Graphic Arts;
Military experience as an Instructor is preferred;
Active SECRET or higher clearance.
Additional Requirements:Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb 2 flights of stairs.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
The applicant must be a US citizen and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to work a flexible and dynamic schedule with minimal notice.
Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and retain a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
