Job Description
Brink’s Global Services, a division of Brink’s Inc, specializes in secure transportation and handling of valuable goods across various industries. We are seeking a Customs Entry Specialist at our JFK Airport location in Springfield Gardens, NY.
Starting Rate: $23-$26
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
Job Summary
The Customs Entry Specialist acts as a liaison for internal departments, customers, and US Customs, managing documentation related to import/export shipments and customs clearance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customs entries and follow-up on clearance
- Manage documentation such as bills of lading, licenses, and other required documents
- Calculate duties and tariffs
- Communicate discrepancies and ensure compliance
- Maintain client relationships and stay updated on customs regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in customs clearance or similar freight forwarding work
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and industry-specific software
- At least 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in freight or secured transportation
- Customer service experience in import/export
- Bachelor’s Degree and brokerage certification are preferred
