A full-time opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists to support K-12 students across multiple schools in Newport News, VA. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment where you will be assigned to 2-3 schools, providing critical psychological services to diverse student populations throughout the academic year.

Location: Newport News, Virginia

Position Type: Contract, Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Start Date: ASAP anticipated by 5/29/2025

Grade Levels: K-12

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological assessments and interventions tailored to student needs across assigned schools
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement support plans
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Participate in eligibility and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all confidentiality and legal standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Professional Certificate with endorsement in School Psychology or equivalent education and experience
• Relevant professional experience providing school-based psychological services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and school staff
• Ability to adapt and manage responsibilities across multiple school sites
