Position Overview: The Interior Designer I is an entry-level position that supports project teams in the development and implementation of design concepts, material selections, and presentations for a wide variety of interior design projects. This role works under the guidance of senior designers and is integral in helping bring creative and functional designs to life while ensuring adherence to firm standards and client expectations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Design Assistance: Support the development and visualization of interior concepts using sketches and digital design tools. Assist in the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finish materials. Participate in client and team meetings to understand design requirements and provide input. Documentation and Coordination: Help prepare design presentations and mood boards for client approval. Assist in producing construction documents, including plans, elevations, and details. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain samples and product information. Project Support: Assist project managers and senior designers in daily project activities. Maintain organized project files and documentation. Contribute to the resolution of design issues during project phases. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited program. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A keen eye for design and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Consistently demonstrates and upholds the firm’s core values.
