Job Summary The Graphic Designer will join an established graphics team and support Marketing Department and corporate goals by developing graphic solutions that present Hillman's products in a logical and impactful manner. The Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation and preparation of detailed graphics for customer presentations, trade shows, product line reviews, package design and in-store signage. Essential Job Functions* Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Create design solutions that have a high visual impact. Up-to-date knowledge of design software, and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. Demonstrate hands-on skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Acobat. Proficiency with InDesign Master Pages and Style Sheets a must. Ability to adhere to established guidelines ie: archiving files. Interpret the needs of internal project managers and develop concepts to suit their purpose. Communicate with internal project managers to redefine requirements within the constraints of cost and time. Ability to collaborate with graphics team, as well as work independently to meet deadlines. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts or equivalent in education and experience. Minimum three years' professional experience in graphics environment. Competencies - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills - able to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat); proficiency with InDesign Master Pages and Style Sheets a must. Photography experience preferred - with emphasis on product and display photography. Operational Equipment N/A Work Environment and Physical Demands Work Environment Office: Office setting.
