Health Promotion Coordinator
Position Summary
The Educational Program Coordinator/Health Promotion Coordinator will provide individual and group wellness coaching to students, lead health promotion and wellness messaging efforts through social media and campus communications, and collaborate on the development and execution of wellness programs and events for students, faculty, and staff across multiple campuses.
This position will be responsible for providing individual and group wellness counseling to support COM students in making positive lifestyle changes to improve their overall health and well-being. The coordinator will engage students in setting goals, developing strategies, and supporting their progress through personalized and holistic coaching support. The role includes leading health promotion and wellness messaging efforts, creating engaging content, visuals, and digital campaigns for social media and campus-specific communication platforms. The coordinator will develop and facilitate interactive workshops, presentations, and programs on wellness topics including goal setting, stress management, motivation, self-care, and other topics as identified to support students' overall wellness and academic success. Collaboration with college partners, student organizations, faculty, and staff to integrate wellness initiatives into the student experience is essential. The coordinator will create and execute wellness programming for faculty and staff, assess the effectiveness of wellness programming and messaging strategies, and utilize feedback and analytics to refine outreach efforts. Additionally, the coordinator will represent the Wellness & Counseling team at campus events, orientations, and wellness fairs.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field. One to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in planning and overseeing seminars and conferences including public relations, organizing and disseminating training materials and information both written and web-based; budget and records maintenance; and computer support. Experience in supervision, database, spreadsheet, and word processing is also required.
Desired Qualifications
Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in individual or group coaching, health promotion, or student wellness initiatives.
Certification or ability to gain certification as a Wellness Coach within 3-6 months of hire.
Experience developing and implementing wellness programming and outreach efforts.
Proficiency in social media content creation, marketing, and digital communication strategies. Ability to develop engaging wellness materials, including graphic design or video content.
Experience with EBS and purchasing. Survey and basic research knowledge. Creation of data-driven initiatives and programming.
