JOB DESCRIPTION:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Client is looking for a Designer to join the team.
• The Designer is responsible for creating commercially viable product designs for our fragrance/body care/lip categories.
• We are looking for someone who is passionate about beauty packaging, fashion trends and loves to work with different materials.
• The design aesthetic ability must be modern, innovative, and feminine to support our Client brand voice.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction/business strategy
• Effectively interpret brand needs as outlined in creative briefs and translate them into compelling packaging designs
• Be an idea generator, able to present multiple designs to the internal creative team
• Be aware and passionate about key fashion/beauty market trends
• Deliver product designs; achieving goals with speed, agility and acute attention to detail
• Has deep understanding of file setup, design turnovers and color expertise
• Work cross-functionally with merchants, package engineers, product developers and concept departments, including involvement throughout the production process
• Effectively present work to team members across levels
• Adapt designs based on feedback
• Ensure designs meet the budget and time commitments required

QUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Graphic Arts, or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of design experience in a comparable packaging environment
• Strong knowledge of Creative Suite including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. Keynote is a plus.
• Exceptional talent with a commercial design eye
• Champion for change and able to react with speed and agility
• Collaborative partner with a team-oriented approach
• Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented; flexible and creative problem solver
• Solid communication and presentation skills
• Personal professionalism and accountability
