Third Narrative . Media Relations Develop and execute strategies to cultivate relationships with high-level external audiences, including media and key influencers. Serve as a communications counselor to leadership, providing strategic advice and guidance. Act as one of the organization's spokespersons and lead point of contact for media interactions. Actively engage with and manage press relationships to elevate the organization's narrative. Strategy and Brand Own the process for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive communications strategy. Articulate the elements of NJN’s brand identity and key audiences. Continually evaluate and improve on communications efforts. Leadership Function as a thought partner and resource for the President & CEO with respect to organizational positioning and opportunity spotting. Supervise the Deputy Communications Director. Qualifications 10+ years of communications experience – strong preference for experience in Jewish community and/or in progressive advocacy spaces. Knowledge about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, U.S. foreign policy, and the U.S. Jewish community. Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies. Proven expertise in media relations, including securing press coverage, developing key messaging, and managing crisis communications. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Deep knowledge of email marketing including both production and analytics. Experience with design software, web development, video editing, and print management. Excellent project and time management skills. High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. Compensation Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000 — commensurate with experience.
