Atomic Arcade, a new video game development studio in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area, is led by industry veterans from AAA game and film studios. We are building our first multi-platform, AAA game based on the GI JOE Universe starring Snake Eyes, and are looking for a Sound Design Lead to shape immersive sound experiences.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain sound design pipelines to streamline production.
• Collaborate with creative and narrative leads to define sound design for characters and storytelling.
• Create interactive sound solutions for gameplay feedback, weapons, Foley, and ambience.
• Implement sound effects using Unreal and Wwise, ensuring synchronization with gameplay.
• Coordinate with external partners for sound design components.

What You'll Bring:

• At least 8 years of audio experience on narrative projects.
• Participation in at least 2 shipped AAA titles as a sound designer.
• Strong understanding of the sound design process for narrative games.
• Leadership skills and mentorship ability.
• Proficiency with Pro Tools, Reaper, iZotope RX, and similar tools.
• Deep knowledge of technical audio implementation and systems.
• Experience with linear audio for cinematic sequences.
• Expertise in integrating sound using Unreal, Wwise, FMOD, or similar platforms.

Nice to Have:

• Scripting skills (LUA, Python, etc.).
• Relevant education in audio engineering, sound design, or related fields.

Compensation Range (USD):

• Starting at $148,400
• Up to $222,600
