The Producer is responsible for the writing and production of the newscast, as well as contributing to other newscasts, assignment desk work, and digital platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Line produce newscasts
- Write for newscasts
- Handle special projects as assigned
- Assist assignment editors
- Occasional field work gathering interviews and video with a photographer
- Studio production work including assisting guests
- Contribute to digital and social media platforms as directed
Requirements
Candidate should have two or more years as a line producer in a smaller market. Additional experience working on newsroom websites, social media platforms, and the assignment desk is a plus.
Hourly rate ranges from $28 to $32 based on experience.
