About the Role
SelectQuote is seeking a seasoned marketing professional to drive Consumer Lifecycle Marketing (CLM) strategy for its life insurance business with an expanded focus on digital marketing and digital application funnels. Consumer Lifecycle Marketing is an integral part of the consumer experience across the SelectQuote family of brands. Our CLM team is responsible for maximizing ROI from uncontacted or unsold leads and existing customers through direct-to-consumer channels including email SMS direct mail outbound call strategies and an evolving suite of digital marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong creative and communication skills while demonstrating proven analytical abilities and a data-driven approach to marketing. They should thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture and have a deep understanding of digital acquisition engagement and conversion strategies as well as SMS and direct mail experience.
This role will work closely with Sales Sales Operations and Digital Marketing to identify and optimize opportunities throughout the sales process and product lifecycle. The Director will focus on increasing conversion and driving revenue growth through a holistic digital and direct marketing outreach strategy. A key aspect of this role is the ability to proactively test optimize and scale marketing programs leveraging insights from customer data digital engagement metrics and sales feedback.
Additionally as SelectQuote expands to include a greater focus on ancillary products and revenue streams in the Life division this role will play a critical part in defining and executing CLM strategies that support cross-sell and upsell initiatives. The Director will be responsible for mapping and optimizing the customer journey from lead generation through retention driving necessary process improvements and technology enhancements to support expansion into new product categories.
The Director will oversee customer segmentation strategy & audience building implementing new programs and optimizing channel timing and frequency working closely with cross-functional partners and the Marketing Technology team. They will lead A/B testing initiatives to enhance response across email direct mail SMS digital channels and other marketing touchpoints ensuring seamless integration with the Digital Marketing team for cohesive campaign planning and measurement.
This role offers broad exposure visibility and the opportunity to drive meaningful impact across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Omnichannel Marketing the selected candidate will work across business units and lead cross-functional teams to design develop and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that drive growth in acquisition retention and revenue. The right individual will be a results-oriented marketing professional with a passion for enhancing the customer experience through targeted integrated marketing activities across multiple channels with a strong emphasis on digital engagement and expansion into new revenue streams.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and executes strategy and planning for integrated customer journeys supporting the Life Insurance product with a strong focus on digital channels and application funnels Oversees Acquisition and Retention Lifecycle Marketing strategies and collaborates with Sales Digital Marketing and Customer Care to design holistic omni-channel experiences Leverages an omnichannel marketing approach emphasizing outbound/inbound call campaigns email marketing SMS direct mail and digital marketing strategies Drives omnichannel planning efforts ensuring seamless integration between traditional CLM channels and Digital Marketing for key initiatives including reengagement of web funnel abandoners annual policy reviews for existing customers and personalized experiences for returning web visitors. Utilizes data customer insights and campaign performance to optimize lifecycle campaigns and improve conversion rates Builds audiences based upon value likelihood to engage and key needs to develop highly targeted marketing campaigns and lifecycle workflows to optimize response and ROI Enhances Direct Response Marketing disposition strategies to improve engagement and lead conversion rates Leads Direct Mail channel management ensuring optimized targeting creative execution and integration with other lifecycle marketing initiatives Conducts data-driven campaign analytics and recommends changes to tactics or strategy as applicable Partners with the Marketing Automation team to optimize new and existing programs including Call Email SMS Direct Mail and Digital Marketing campaigns Establishes KPI measures and is responsible for recurring weekly performance readouts incorporating digital marketing and funnel performance insights Leverages product marketing and product development expertise to refine messaging positioning and customer engagement strategies ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands. Manages and mentors team members fostering professional growth and ensuring successful execution of marketing initiatives across all lifecycle channels. Skills/Abilities:
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders Experience managing large-scale data-driven marketing campaigns across digital channels email SMS direct mail and outbound/inbound call strategies Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams fostering a culture of innovation execution and accountability Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills with experience delivering insights and recommendations to C-suite and senior leadership Deep understanding of performance marketing marketing automation technologies digital application funnels and customer journey optimization Strong experience with omnichannel campaign measurement testing and attribution modeling to drive ROI Visionary mindset with a passion for innovation leveraging emerging marketing technologies to enhance customer experience optimize revenue streams and drive business growth Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles with direct accountability for customer growth marketing performance and revenue outcomes 8+ years of experience in team leadership roles Proven expertise in lifecycle marketing product marketing or customer retention strategies with a deep understanding of how to align marketing strategies with product development and business goals Physical Requirements:
Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
