What You Will Do:
The Public Relations Director develops and drives the PR strategies for the brand in the US market. This role directs and implements the US market strategy in collaboration with the entire marketing team, internal PR team, and ABPR. This role includes the development and mentorship of junior team members.

Strategy & Program Development:
-
Develops and executes a comprehensive PR strategy and implements marketing programs in collaboration with the Director of Content Marketing & Social Media and the Marketing Director.

Creates and implements public relations programs for new product launches and key brand initiatives (including philanthropic efforts), adapting strategies to resonate with target audiences in different markets.

Collaborates with Marketing Directors on innovative launch plans, ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging and marketing objectives.

Oversees the development and execution of strategic partnership activations, maximizing press coverage and brand visibility.

US Market Management:
-
Oversees and directs the work of the US PR agency, providing strategic guidance and ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Creates and executes innovative press mailings, launch events, and press trips in collaboration with the US agency, generating excitement and media attention.

Cultivates and expands existing relationships with key press contacts and influencers, securing positive media coverage and building brand advocacy.

Develops and implements the in-house makeup artist strategy (if applicable), including the ongoing development and management of any professional artist programs.

Drives ongoing press and public relations activities for freestanding stores (if applicable), maximizing local media coverage and community engagement.

Internal & Executive Communications:
-
Manages internal L’Oréal press requests, ensuring accurate and timely responses that align with brand messaging.

Garners, vets, and prioritizes press coverage opportunities for the Chief Creative Officer/Founder (if applicable), maximizing positive media exposure and thought leadership opportunities.

Budget & Team Management:
-
Manages US PR budgets in collaboration with Marketing Directors, ensuring responsible spending and maximizing ROI.

Mentors, and develops the junior team members providing guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications/Skills:

Education/ Experience/ Licenses or Certifications:
-
Four-year degree, marketing, journalism or PR preferred, but not mandatory.

8-10 years of related PR experience (consumer products, media, agency or corporate environment

Software:

Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
-
Standard MS Office applications
-
Excellent oral communication skills
-
MUST have strong writing skills: Director will serve as the voice of Lancôme to the outside world.

A hip personality is important for maintaining brand credibility. Should possess knowledge of trends, pop culture, some fashion, and lots of cosmetic industry knowledge. Monitor trends via real-time reporting and identify ways the company can leverage current topics of interest.

Knowledge of PR and blogging ecosystem relevant to the beauty industry. (Or show knowledge in another area which displays ability/desire to learn our industry.)

Salary Range [New York] : $138,500-$200,800 base salary (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
