Your Role at BSI
The Architectural Designer is responsible for assisting with the design and detail drawing packages for our clients. They work closely with all engineering disciplines to create quality designs. Our group is made up of talented and hard-working individuals, and we are looking forward to adding another member to our team.
Responsibilities and Scope
Participates in programming efforts with client and gathers necessary field data
Participates in interdisciplinary coordination efforts to ensure project objectives are being met
Assists in developing designs and details
Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. using Revit
Continues to develop and improve the quality of design and documentation within the firm while taking leadership in related efforts
Assists in preparing material take-offs for estimating efforts as required
Participates in Construction administration support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Design Studies, Architectural Design, or a related field of study
1 to 5 years of experience
Experienced in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
3D visualization and rendering knowledge
Working knowledge of general building systems, functions and design
Working knowledge of construction techniques, materials, methods and industry standards
Good presentation and decision-making skills
Experienced with setting priorities and managing multiple tasks
Good written and oral communication skills
Positive conflict resolution skills

Pay Range:
$69,000 - $100,000 based on level of experience

Reporting Structure
You will report to Matt Murtha, Director of Architecture. Holding a Master of Architecture degree from Miami University, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to his team. Matt has been in the industry for over 25 years, and has been with BSI since 2017, where he helped implement BSI’s Architecture department. Matt is personable and relatable with a passion for his team. You can find him outside of the office spending time with his family as his 3 boys keep him plenty busy. He has built an incredible team of talented individuals and is excited to welcome the right candidate to further strengthen the team.
