The Creative Director oversees a team responsible for the stewardship of the amfAR brand, including design and production of all amfAR web, digital, social media assets, video (animation, mixed media, live action), publication and printed materials. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate leadership qualities as evident by the ability to collaborate with leadership partners, motivate teams, inspire/facilitate original thinking Develop visual identity, brand guidelines and deliver creative concepts and campaigns programmed for various platforms, audiences and flagship live events Contribute innovative ideas and tactics appropriate to amfAR marketing and communications strategies Deliver fresh thinking, creative solutions, and impactful storytelling that will increase audience engagement and drive results Exhibit strong content knowledge across all forms of art execution, including photography, GFX, motion, music, and sound and be able to make recommendations Build a culture of creativity, comradery, and accountability, helping to bring out the very best of creatives at all levels Mentor and guide junior talent, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers Stay abreast of creative trends and collaborate with other teams to recommend new technologies/social media approaches to increase fundraising and raise brand awareness QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Fine Arts, Advertising, or other creative concentrations Ambitious creative portfolio that highlights experience 7+ Years of creative in-house or agency experience 3+ years of supervisory experience Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Experience in health, medical, research or healthcare branding is preferred but not required Outstanding benefits package that encompasses: medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, vision coverage, commuter, dependent care and medical FSA savings, 403B with a very generous employer match.
