What You'll Do:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, to join our growing team at Kailera. Reporting to the Vice President, Communications & Investor Relations, this role will be responsible for managing key communications channels and ensuring alignment across corporate and investor audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and project management skills, experience with media and investor engagement, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. This role will contribute to the development of corporate messaging, support strategic initiatives, and help maintain and enhance the company's visibility in the biotech and financial communities. Additionally, this position requires a proactive approach to tracking industry trends, preparing briefing materials, and ensuring consistent and effective communication across all platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of corporate communications and IR strategies to enhance the company's visibility within the biotech and investor communities.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, functional leads, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Support the development or communications/IR materials including press releases, corporate presentations, and Q&A documents; Coordinate approvals and manage upload/distribution of press releases.
- Maintain Kailera's external communications calendar, including key milestones, announcements, and investor, industry and scientific/medical events; collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and alignment across teams.
- Monitor news and analyst coverage to track industry trends, company coverage, and competitive developments, providing daily summary report to leadership team.
- Manage relationships with media outlets, responding to inquiries, coordinating interviews, and developing media background materials.
- Create media background materials such as fact sheets, company overviews, and Q&A documents to ensure consistency in external messaging.
- Support investor relations activities, including assisting in the planning and execution of investor conferences, drafting briefing documents, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain investor relations contact database, including adding new contacts and recording meeting notes.
- Manage corporate social media channels, including content planning, posting, monitoring, and engagement to maintain an active and strategic online presence
- Support the development of web, digital and video content, working with external vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance corporate storytelling.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboard to track and optimize Kailera's media coverage, web and social media presence.
- Partner with the People and Culture team to support internal communications initiatives, including All Hands meetings and recruitment and culture-focused social media content.
- Assist teams across the organization in preparing for external presentations and/or conference participation, ensuring consistency in messaging and delivery.
- Coordinate logistics for conferences and events, such as ordering promotional items, signage, and liaising with the conference/event organizers.
- Organize and maintain brand assets, templates, and style guides.
- Manage subscriptions to publications, journals and news outlets.
- Support with general communication administrative tasks such as processing invoices and tracking communication budget items.
- 6+ years of experience in corporate communications within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Experience managing social media channels and Wordpress sites.
- Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of Kailera's clinical programs and therapeutic landscape.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with investor relations practices and financial communications.
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to handle both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or a related field.

Salary Range
$136,000-$170,000 USD
