The Director, Product Marketing will lead and be responsible for our end-to-end go-to-market strategy for core customer segments of Diligent Boards including managing positioning, messaging, and pricing. This role’s impact will touch all parts of the company and help us fuel our growth as the market leader in this space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Go-To-Market Strategy : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, customer success, product) to define and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions.
- Market Insights and Analysis : Provide foundational insights including market analysis, TAM, ICPs, personas, customer journey mapping, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer (VoC) to guide marketing and product decisions.
- Messaging and Content Development : Develop compelling and consistent messaging for sales, customer success, and marketing teams.
- Campaign Design and Execution : Lead multi-channel campaigns (digital, content, events, web) in partnership with Sales and Marketing to achieve revenue and customer engagement targets.
- Sales Enablement : Equip sales and customer success teams with training, tools, and assets to support pipeline development and revenue growth.
- Marketing Plans and Opportunity Identification : Create and implement annual/quarterly marketing plans that identify market opportunities and generate leads for sales teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with product, sales, marketing, and enablement teams to execute market research and align on positioning, messaging, and sales enablement strategies.
- Product Positioning and Messaging : Develop compelling positioning and messaging for the GRC platform.
- Competitive and Market Intelligence : Collaborate with the Product Strategy team to monitor competitive landscape and industry trends.
- Product Launches and Market Readiness : Lead cross-functional product launch activities.
- Performance Measurement : Define success metrics and measure the impact of product marketing efforts.
- Pricing and Packaging : Define strategies for pricing, packaging, and product-market fit.
- Product Expertise and Enablement : Serve as the product expert for sales and pre-sales teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration on Product Strategy : Collaborate with technical product management to prioritize initiatives and align the product roadmap.
Required Experience/Skills
- B2B product marketing experience in technology, GRC, corporate data/information, finance, or professional services.
- 8+ years of experience in marketing strategy development and cross-functional execution in a B2B SaaS environment.
- 5+ years of relevant experience within a product marketing or technical marketing role.
- Strong understanding of SaaS-based solutions and product marketing best practices.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
