The University of South Dakota Director of Athletic Video Production is responsible for all aspects of creating video content for external use and in-game presentation, producing live events and coordinating video projects in support of the athletic department’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities Provide technical support and guidance to live-event streaming for all sports, video and graphics use for athletic video boards, website, social media, and/or television, including collaboration with contracted service provider. Create branded departmental content to showcase the student-athlete experience. Serve as the primary point of contact for the control room. Run in-game production for all relevant events. Supervises video production staff and manage a budget. Collaborates with university marketing and communication on project development, video branding and overall strategy. Manage the archival process of current and historical video.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field with one to three years’ experience, preferably in college athletics. Demonstrate video shooting and editing experience. Working knowledge of live streaming productions, equipment and systems. Candidate must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision, with an irregular work schedule including weekends and evenings if necessary. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations in relation to the athletic marketing and sales area is preferred.
