Job Summary
- Accountable for Southwest Airlines' marketing investment and performance across paid channels, including media and sponsorships. Responsibilities include defining and setting strategy, budget allocation, and setting all performance metrics for national and local campaigns. Provides oversite, management, and evaluation of the media and sponsorship agencies.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for aligning paid initiatives with broader marketing objectives and goals, such as brand awareness, demand generation, and customer development
- Oversees the budget, ensuring proper allocation across channels based on performance and strategic priorities
- Ensure team and agencies are regularly analyzing campaign performance data and adjusting tactics to optimize results
- Stay ahead of trends, including emerging platforms, new targeting opportunities, and technological advancements
- Has a solid understanding of Media Mix and Marketing Mix Optimization
- Direct oversight of paid media and sponsorships with influence over social influencer investments
- Collaborate with other departments such as Brand, Communications, Analytics, Technology, and Digital to align on shared projects and/or develop strategic recommendations
- Responsible for developing and executing the overall sponsorship strategy aligned with business objectives, priority markets, and key brand goals
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at potential sponsor organizations
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring that terms are favorable to the organization
- Develop KPI structure and continuously assess the effectiveness of sponsorship and activations to improve future opportunities
- Work with multiple external agencies and partners to deliver against business priorities and goals
- Manage, motivate, and set vision for a direct report team to achieve aggressive goals

- Must possess sufficient subject matter expertise to influence decisions within their area of expert
- Must be able to create and deliver presentations which are tailored to audience level knowledge
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and autonomously
- Proven experience of cross-functional collaboration and influence
- Demonstrates initiative, entrepreneurialism, and creativity in problem solving
- Must be technically proficient with respect to Microsoft Office products
- Acts as an advisor to Executive Leaders to resolve complex problems
- Must be comfortable in handling confidential information and reporting/communicating directly with senior management
- Ability to make decision in a changing environment

- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbally and written
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area
- Seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Setting investment strategies across various media
- Media Theory, Consumer Trends, and Media Systems and processes
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must have flexibility to work long hours, including weekends, and travel up to 50% of the time, including some overnight stays
- Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license
Pay & Benefits:
- Competitive market salary from $180,350 per year to $200,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
