About the role Mobili Mobel is looking for a Director Interior Design and Sales with experience in private luxury residential projects to join our team. You will lead a design and sales team and engage in the following duties: Design - You will be involved in all aspects of the design process. Client focused - You and your team will deliver a luxury experience to our clients. Team focused - Lead the MM sales and design team and collaborate with clients, as well as other designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers. Business focused - You will design strategies and actions to increase our presence in various markets, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing sales. About You The ideal candidate knows how to deliver a luxury client experience. She/he is a creative, self-motivated and meticulous individual who is able to lead a strong design team and act in a project management role. Passion and elevated taste is a must! You easily engage with others. You bring a steady hand to all that you do. You do not give up but know how to adapt to achieve your objective. You have an excellent project portfolio. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE LUXURY - You understand the craftsmanship that goes into luxury goods and why it matters. You know how to educate and communicate. TEAM - Willing to adapt to the daily needs of the team as you know when to lead and when to be part of the team. EXPERIENCE - 8-10 years of experience in a lead interiors role for a high-end firm overseeing a team and independently running projects. RELATIONSHIPS - You have long term friendships. You know how to engage with others. CREATIVE - You live design. You’re find inspiration everywhere. You have a passion for beautiful, functional design, an eye for detail and can “see” how to improve a space and share your vision in a sketch for a client. KNOWLEDGE - You have a proven history of being detailed and organized. You’re able to prioritize and balance multiple projects and tasks at the same time with minimal supervision. FLEXIBLE - You live in Chicago and are able to travel locally and internationally. You’re direct, confident and concise. You know how to communicate (ex., email, text, phone) to get answers. CONSTANTLY LEARNING - You think on your feet, problem solve, and learn from others when it is needed. Desired Skills and Experience 8-10 years of experience partially in a lead interiors role overseeing a team and independently running projects. Passion for design and an eye for detail. Creative, critical, and strategic thinker with a passion for innovative design solutions. Calm, methodical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the design team. Fun and friendly people person with paramount integrity eager to excel. Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel in particular). Valid driver’s license and willing to travel (domestic and international). Retail sales or customer success experience preferred. Exceptional time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
