Senior Director of Medical Device Marketing Strategy Location:
Chicago, IL (Hybrid; onsite 2x per week) Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Director of Marketing, focusing on shaping the downstream strategy within the medical device sector. We seek a seasoned professional to steer global marketing initiatives, primarily targeting the US market. In this pivotal leadership position, you will craft and execute innovative marketing strategies for our flagship products. By partnering closely with sales leadership and representatives, you will drive impactful marketing and commercial programs that resonate with our customer base. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Market Access. Responsibilities and Duties: Craft and implement marketing strategies to meet and exceed business goals. Design and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, focusing on market segmentation, pricing, and positioning. Oversee product branding and messaging alignment. Collaborate with sales teams to operationalize marketing strategies that enhance commercial performance. Engage with clients in the field to gain insights and inform marketing initiatives. Develop essential marketing materials and sales support tools. Work alongside Medical Education to ensure alignment of educational content and events with strategic goals. Coordinate with Marketing Communications to run effective digital marketing campaigns aimed at lead generation. Build relationships with Market Development to exchange insights and explore collaborative opportunities. Conduct competitive analysis to secure and grow market share. Leverage market research and customer feedback to refine marketing strategies. Contribute to long-term strategic planning for sustainable growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product development and clinical initiatives. Support local customer engagement activities as required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or an equivalent advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in the medical device industry with progressive roles in Downstream Marketing. Demonstrated success in strategic marketing and executing intricate marketing plans. Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations. Excellent collaborative skills with a focus on alignment with sales teams. Ability to build partnerships with external stakeholders, including medical professionals. Experienced in leading high-functioning cross-functional teams. Proven people leadership with a talent for building a motivated and high-performing team. Strong analytical skills in data evaluation. Experience in financial management and budget oversight. Self-driven and proactive, with a positive approach. Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Fluent in English with superior written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
