Position Overview: Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly skilled Director of Social Media and Multimedia Production to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ office. As the Director, you will be a vital part of the Communications Team, reporting to the SVP of Communications, and leading a team of social media professionals and multimedia creatives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the team of in-house and freelance resources for the creation of digital, multimedia content.
- Strategize, direct, supervise, and implement social media content, creative direction, and delivery strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
- Ensure that projects are completed with excellence, on time, within budget, and consistent with ADF brand and messaging.
- Align all efforts and content with the strategic and communications objectives of the ministry.
- Foster and maintain cross-team relationships to ensure strong communication and meet ministry needs.
- Direct and supervise the creative process and execution of multimedia projects.
- Provide creative direction for social media and digital creative assets to maximize engagement.
- Ensure content consistently and positively represents the ADF brand.
- Act as the liaison for the multimedia team to report on current projects and align bandwidth and needs.
- Mobilize social media and multimedia teams to respond rapidly to news developments and content needs.
Team Leadership:
- Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing Team Members.
- Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in developing a collaborative team environment.
- Foster a spirit of trust, innovation, and teamwork.
- Meet regularly with Team Members to discuss their progress and conduct performance reviews.
- Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports.

- Demonstrated proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively on multi-aspect projects.

- Creative strategy and content marketing skills.
- Experience in social media management, photography, videography, and graphic design.
- Project management skills to ensure timely coordination of content.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for marketing visual content.
- Ability to provide strong leadership and mentorship to a diverse team.
- Ability to create multimedia content and manage projects from beginning to end.
- Ability to meet deadlines and oversee multiple projects.
- Ability to relate well to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong writing skills with correct English grammar and vocabulary.
- Understanding of office practices, procedures, equipment, and software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of communications, marketing, or advertising experience required.
- 7+ years of project management experience preferred.
- Writing/editing/proofreading experience required.
- Project Manager Professional or Agile SCRUM credentials a plus.
- Experience with project management software like Wrike is a plus.
