This position is on site at our Cullowhee campus.
The Western Carolina University Intercollegiate Athletic Department is accepting applications for a 2024-2025 Ticketing / Marketing Assistant. This is an 11 month, paid position, with primary roles in assisting in generating ticket revenue, as well as ticketing and marketing operations. WCU Athletics is seeking a highly-motivated individual looking for experience in ticket operations, sales, and marketing. This person will gain experience in a variety of facets including but not limited to day to day operations, gameday management, customer service, and sales. This position will introduce an individual to all aspects of an NCAA Division I, Southern Conference athletic program.
Primary Responsibilities:• Greet walk-up customers and answer ticket office phone• Process reports in Audienceview• Generate ticket revenue for football and basketball• Assist Director of Marketing with group sales• Responsible for helping with day-to-day ticket office needs• Assist Director of Ticket Operations with gameday operations• Assist Director of Marketing with non-ticketed sports• Manage and schedule student workers and apprentices• Primary marketing contact for Women's Soccer• Assist marketing with football and fall sport operations• Assist and schedule mascot appearances• Other duties as assigned
Position will work 40 hours a week from August 1st-Devember 31st with some flexibility.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
Must have good communications skills. Must be reliable and professional.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Previous experience working in Athletics. Must have good communications skills. Must be reliable and professional.
