The Courtyard Rocky Mount and Residence Inn Rocky Mount are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and motivated individual for the position of Complex Director of Sales and Marketing (Hybrid) with StepStone Hospitality. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality sales experience essential.
The responsibilities of the Complex Director of Sales and Marketing include but are not limited to:
Solicitation of new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone/e-mail, solicitation, outside sales calls, virtual/site inspections and written communicationAbility to book new group and catering businessAbility to oversee a sales team and execute sales goals for each individualAbility to communicate to ownership as needed and develop action plansDevelop group and catering offers on a regular basis and assist in marketing as neededAbility to drive digital marketing and social media strategies and execute as neededAssumes the responsibility for set-up and execution of events as neededWorks with client directly to form Banquet Event Orders allowing the group to accomplish their goals as neededAssist with other areas as assigned by the General Manager, and Vice President of Sales and MarketingAbility to log all sales related activity in the sales software systemAbility to utilize onsite reservation system- StaynTouch and Delphi fdc preferred to manage group reservationsSome weekend office coverage as neededRequirements
2 yrs. of hotel sales experienceProficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Internet Explorer/Google ChromeWell organized and detail orientedAbility to work independentlyDisplay initiative, perseverance and analytical skillsEffective communicationProfessional and ethicalDisplays enthusiasmExcellent customer service skillsTeam player and ability to get along with othersAvailable to meet guests which may include weekendsAbility to read, write and speak English, with excellent grammar and communication skills (written and verbal)
