Overview:
- Timber Pizza Co. began in 2014 as a food truck, serving up delicious pizza and great vibes. Since then, we have opened several pizza shops throughout the DMV area and beyond. Following our franchising launch in 2023, we are rapidly expanding across the Northeast. To support this aggressive growth, we are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead our brand strategy and assist franchisees with localized marketing initiatives. We want a team member who is passionate about both people and pizza and is eager to contribute to our emerging brand.

- As our Marketing Director, you will develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to drive business growth, enhance brand recognition, and create memorable customer experiences. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and building relationships with franchisees, you will play a pivotal role in Timber’s success. As a leader at Timber, you will:
- Collaborate directly with senior executives to drive brand excellence.
- Build strong relationships and support structures for franchisees.
- Take true ownership of key organizational areas.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create strategy to manage corporate social channels, creating a team focused on content, public relations, partnerships, and brand promotion to increase brand awareness and build a loyal community.
- Lead Timber’s design and communication strategy, including photography, graphic design, video, promotional materials, and copywriting, to create an engaging brand experience.
- Develop Timber’s brand strategy, refining messaging and positioning to support growth across distribution channels.
- Support new market launches by creating opening campaigns, fostering organic PR opportunities, and developing localized marketing plans to enhance brand awareness and drive revenue.
- Drive local marketing efforts for franchisees, providing tailored ideas and plans based on market demographics to ensure their success and profitability while staying true to Timber’s brand.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and consumer insights.
- Monitor and report on marketing, sales, and customer experience performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental results and budgets, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Build and develop a team to support the brand's long-term vision for growth.
You’ll be a great addition to the Timber team if you have:
- 3-5 years of experience leading marketing and sales teams in food, hospitality, retail, CPG, or other creative industries.
- Willingness to travel to new or existing markets & locations.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment, with the ability to bring structure to daily operations.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a diverse team.
- A balanced analytical and creative approach to marketing.
- A detail-oriented and organized leadership style.
- Proven experience supporting executive leadership and driving interdepartmental collaboration.
- The ability to envision and execute effective marketing strategies.
