E-Commerce Photographer
We are 2.7 August Apparel, an American fast-fashion clothing company that offers B2B services, from design to manufacturing and wholesale. We started our business in 2011 and opened the first wholesale store in the Los Angeles fashion district. We offer multi-brands like Endless rose, English factory, Grey Lab, and Free the Roses. We provide well-designed and valued fashion goods to our consumers, which helps our business succeed.
We are seeking an e-commerce photographer with the technical skills, creative expertise, and an understanding of the business side of online retail as well as concept shoots.
Responsibilities
- Photoshoots: Scouting, Booking, Equipment Preparation, Light Testing, Photographing (E-Commerce and Proto)
- Editing & Retouching: Select, Edit, and retouch images to ensure a polished final product.
- Dropship editing for accounts weekly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand the uploading schedule to prioritize and manage volume.
- Proper lighting use is crucial; understanding how to manipulate light (natural or artificial) to highlight products, remove blemishes, correct color, adjust brightness/contrast, and ensure high-quality images is essential.
- Understand platform-specific image size, format, resolution, and aspect ratio requirements (e.g., Amazon, Etsy, Shopify).
- Knowledge of optimizing images with relevant keywords and proper alt text for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve product visibility.
- Understanding how to use studio lights, softboxes, reflectors, and diffusers can significantly impact the final output.
- Shooting images that align with the brand’s aesthetic is crucial for consistency across the product catalog.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in photography - a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the field.
- Must provide a portfolio.
- Proficiency in product photography techniques.
- Post-processing and editing skills.
- Studio setup and equipment knowledge.
