First Batch Hospitality-Creative Services Manager
The First Batch wineries create magic for our guests everyday, whether thats bringing a dream wedding to life, creating a new delicious food dish from our wine, or letting people discover a new passion on one of our winery tours. Position Summary
The Creative Services Manager is responsible for the creation and implementation of print collateral, digital ad assets, social media content, and any other visual artwork that is needed including copy. They also art direct and oversee photo and video shoots. This role is not just a ticket taker waiting for a creative brief, instead they are an integral part of the marketing team that is kept up to date on all that's going on and expected to be able to move the ball forward on creative assets and content for initiatives and projects accordingly.
Responsibilities
Design:
- This role is responsible for the creation of graphic design assets such as menus, flyers, posters, check presenters, advertising campaign pieces, and more both in support of marketing and other teams. This can include writing copy for these pieces.
- For assets that get re-used but with different information, such as events menus, this role will create templates in Canva that people without design skills can edit without disturbing the overall look and feel.
- This role is responsible for maintaining brand standards with designed pieces as well as addressing some of the gaps in our graphic design guidelines.
- Develop an aesthetic point of view and ensure our graphics are eye catching and feel appropriate for the market.
- Work with key stakeholders on initiatives to incorporate feedback and expertise into designs.
Social Media & Website:
- Creation of static posts and reels for Instagram,TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Must be able to ideate and create social media content for marketing initiatives, marketing events, and content that showcases our offerings.
- Stays up to speed on all current social media trends especially around weddings and events and is able to adopt them where appropriate for the business.
- Responsible for scheduling content in social media scheduling tool (Later), and ensuring the feeds look curated and reflect the premium nature of our venues.
- Ensure our brand tone of voice is consistent and engaging on social media.
- Become part of the conversation especially about weddings.
- Lean on our in-house experts for high value content in the area of weddings, events, wine, and food.
- Keep the look and feel of the website fresh and up to date with eye-catching graphics, photos, and videos.
Special Projects & Branding:
- Evolve the current branding by addressing gaps and what is not working.
- Any creative support needed for special projects would fall under this roles responsibilities.
- Assist in one year planning sessions, experiential event planning sessions, and initiative planning sessions to be able to provide creative direction and support.
- Understand the demographic and the markets we are in and the differences between them, and reflect that in the creative and the aesthetic.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design 2 years of professional graphic design experience Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Able to edit video for social media including editing audio and adding closed captions
- Training/experience as a photographer preferred but not mandatory
- Keen eye for photography, aesthetics, and able to determine what is compelling effective imagery.
- Travel between locations 3-4 times a year
- Able to lift 15 lbs
