Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Youth Digital Animation Instructor located in Palo Alto, CA. We are looking for an energetic and knowledgeable instructor to lead our digital animation youth camp (ages 9-17) in the Summer of 2025. The applicant must have experience with all of the basic aspects of digital animation (drawing, story-telling theory, motion, and movement, and editing) and possess the calm, confident, and enthusiastic demeanor necessary when working with children. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, delivering hands-on instruction, and ensuring a positive learning environment for all participants. The Instructor will also oversee the proper use of animation software and equipment, providing feedback and support to foster student growth.

Qualifications

• Teaching skills and experience in instructing youth
• Skills in Animation, Computer Animation, and Storyboarding
• Graphics creation and design skills
• Patience and strong communication skills for working with young learners
• A Bachelor’s degree in art, education, media, communications, or film is a must,
• Experience in a media production or educational environment is beneficial
