Hiring One Art Therapist and ONE Music Therapist

ART THERAPIST:
Job Type: W2 Employee. Part Time (13.5 hours total per week: 7.5 clinical hours per week & 6 admin hours per week. Plus supervision/team meeting admin hours.)
Availability: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Shifts are 9:30am-12:00pm
MUSIC THERAPIST:
Job Type: W2 Employee. Part Time (11 hours per week: 6 clinical hours and 5 admin hours. Plus supervision admin hours.) Opportunity for growth in the company!
Availability: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: Shifts are 9:30am-12:00pm
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide group art therapy/music therapy services with adults in an inpatient acute psychiatric unit.
- Ensure services and treatment are culturally sensitive/informed in regard to all types of identities, especially those that are marginalized (gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, body size, disability, etc). Must be anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and working towards dismantling all systems of oppression including fatphobia.
- All groups must involve art therapy activities/directives.
- Write all group curriculum and submit to clinical supervisor each week before groups begin for that week.
- Complete group progress notes for each group on-site after group according to the facilities requirements.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with on-site staff.
- Report any clinical concerns to on-site staff.
- Work within the limits of their qualifications, education, and skills.
- Value, support and respect the rights of others.
- Be punctual and maintain a professional attitude toward their tasks.
- Immediately notify the supervisor (and on-site staff point person) if unable to work due to health or other reasons.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy with regards to organizational, client, and other information of a confidential nature. Adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Represent East Bay Art Therapy accurately and positively at all times.
- Ensure timely documentation of groups through progress notes and timely return phone calls and emails from on-site staff and East Bay Art Therapy supervisor.
- Adhere to all standards of practice outlined by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) and the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).
- Adhere to all standards of practice outlined by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
Organizational Responsibilities
- Complete and pass a criminal reference check and a vulnerable sector search, if required.
- Complete and return all East Bay Art Therapy registration documents as indicated on the orientation checklist.
- Read, sign, and honor East Bay Art Therapy’s confidentiality and conflict of interest agreements.
- Meet at least monthly with creative arts therapy hospital unit EBAT team and monthly with the entire EBAT team. Meet weekly with supervisor if practicing under ATR-Provisional credential.
- Address areas of conflict or concern in accordance with East Bay Art Therapy’s policies.
- Complete all documentation of their work according to East Bay Art Therapy standards.
- Maintain accurate record of work hours and tasks completed, in progress, and assigned.
- Carry out assigned tasks responsibly. Request support when needed.
- Participate in evaluations when asked by their supervisor.
- Attend any designated training or orientation assigned by their supervisor.
- Report any health and safety concerns to their supervisor.
- Provide appropriate and adequate advance notice of intention to leave the organization.
Minimum Required Qualifications ART THERAPIST
- Masters Degree in Art Therapy.
- Registration with Art Therapy Credentials Board as ATR-Provisional, ATR, or ATR-BC.
- 1 year post graduate clinical experience providing art therapy services.
- Ability to provide compassionate, empathic, and ethical service.
- Good standing with the AATA, ATCB, and malpractice insurance entities.
- Ability to be creative and innovative in clinical role.
- Be able to work independently after basic training.
- Have access to computer or tablet for word processing and email.
- Confidence, experience and passion for working with adults with mental health diagnoses.
- Confidence, experience and passion for running groups.
- Confidence, experience, and passion for using art therapy interventions.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
- Preferred: Member of a marginalized community/identity and/or lived experience that informs clinical work.
Minimum Required Qualifications MUSIC THERAPIST
- Have current MT-BC credential with the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).
- Preferred: 1 year post-degree clinical work experience providing music therapy services.
- Preferred: Masters Degree in Music Therapy.
- Ability to provide compassionate, empathic, and ethical service.
- Good standing with the CBMT, AMTA, and malpractice insurance entities.
- Ability to be creative and innovative in clinical role.
- Be able to work independently after basic training.
- Have access to computer or tablet for word processing and email.
- Confidence, experience and passion for working with adults with mental health diagnoses.
- Confidence, experience and passion for running groups.
- Confidence, experience, and passion for using music therapy interventions.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Pay:
Music Therapist: $40-90 per hour for all clinical hours (pay scale is based on degree level and years of experience)
Art Therapist: $50-90 per hour for all clinical hours (pay scale is based on credential level and years of experience)
All Positions: $22 per hour for all admin hours (1 admin hour per day on-site. Additional paid admin time includes mandatory trainings, team meetings, curriculum writing, and supervision)
