Details**Open Date** 07/26/2024**Requisition Number** PRN15059N**Job Title** UU Student - Other**Working Title** Publishing Intern**Job Grade** SJ**FLSA Code** Nonexempt**Patient Sensitive Job Code?** No**Type** Non Benefited Staff / Student**Temporary?** No**Standard Hours per Week** 20**Full Time or Part Time?** Part Time**Shift** Day**Work Schedule Summary****Is this a work study job?** No**VP Area** U of U Health - Academics**Department** 01759 - PUBLISHING**Location** Campus**City** Salt Lake City, UT**Type of Recruitment** External Posting**Pay Rate Range** 13.00-15.00**Close Date****Job Summary**The Publishing team, part of U of U Health’s Marketing and Communications Department, is looking for an assistant to support content publishing, email and social media marketing, and community collaboration efforts.The majority of the team’s work is focused on content strategy, digital storytelling, email marketing, national recognition, community outreach and engagement, and multilingual communications for Limited English Proficiency ( LEP ) audiences.This is a position where an ideal candidate would have many of the qualifications listed below, but also has the interest and potential to learn new skills and platforms they may not have experience in.**Responsibilities**+ Write and edit across multimedia channels including digital media, publications, magazines, websites, and social media.+ Assist with web content publishing, updates, and revisions.+ Support ongoing partnerships, sponsorships, and community collaboration activities.+ Assist with pickup, delivery, and coordination of editorial and promotional materials.+ Develop and follow guidelines for content strategy and editorial processes.+ Assist with the execution of Publishing team plans, policies, and procedures.+ Coordinate team activities like retreats and special events.+ Collaborate with other departments including internal communications, PR, clinical marketing, web, etc. on an as-needed basis.+ Develop working knowledge of team function within the organization.+ May spend a portion of time assisting with the work of supervisors as needed.**Minimum Qualifications**High school diploma or equivalency required. 1-2 years of customer service, web publishing, or content creation experience or equivalency, and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.This position is partially remote but requires time on-site at the office and various community events. The ideal candidate thrives in social interaction, works well with others, and is curious and open to learning new skills.Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.**Preferences**+ Experience with content management systems and email marketing platforms such as Acquia, Emma, Sprout Social, and Campaign Studio.+ Working knowledge of project tracking tools like Asana, SmartSheet, etc.+ Experience in maintaining websites, overseeing social media campaigns, and the content publishing process (interviewing, research, writing, and editing).+ Fluency in Spanish and experience with multilingual communities preferred.**Special Instructions Summary****Additional Information**The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
