Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for a UX Writer working remotely to support our premier client's customer service UX team. The ideal candidate will have experience with UX writing and using UX Research findings and data to improve UI copy based off customer needs. This is a 5-month contract role that offers opportunity to support a global customer service organization. You will primarily focus on writing at a 6th to 8th grade reading level to support localization and accessibility needs.
Responsibilities:
Translate complicated concepts into jargon-free, concise, user-centric UI copy
Ensure that customer service associates have the right information at the right moment
Deliver UX writing that supports a global audience of both novice and experienced users, helping them easily understand how to use a product with little to no added cognitive effort
Dive into the needs of customers and associates based on data and UX research, and turn that into highly effective UX writing
Work with UX designers, product managers, engineering, and subject matter experts
Required Skills: 2+ solid years of UX writing or instructional design experience
Portfolio with UX writing samples
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
Editorial and proofreading skills
Exceptional writing, listening, and verbal communication skills
Experience using UX Research findings and data to improve UI copy based off customer needs. (EX: shown something to the customer and they did not like it/not user friendly. Go in and find the words that are causing confusion/error).
Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally
Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves, work independently and get the job done
